Germany for an international student is scary
I’ve decided to study in Germany rather than in UAE due to their free education. Rather than live in an expensive country with paid education, I can put most of my money into living in Germany and study for free with better education. I’ve heard from many people that studying there is great, but what I also heard is that studying there would give me a hard time.
I told myself that I can do it and I can handle it, even when I hear about people who have been trying so hard to pass the language test and after an entire year of trying to no avail. But that isn’t the only problem; the bigger problem is the foundation year.
As a person who studied in UAE his entire life, I had to learn that I still have to take foundation classes in Germany because almost every school in the country has its own educational system and unlike the public schools, I studied in a private school.
The foundation year is very difficult, what they tell me. And it isn’t a matter of “passing”, because you have to be one of the hundreds out of the thousands of people who have to get the highest marks in a killer test.
I was shook when I heard about this, and immediately I am starting to doubt my success in Germany, because I am not a high achiever, and despite learning the language up to A2, I want to reconsider.
I sent my papers to some universities in Germany, and I am planning to study in Klausthal, however it’s been two months and nothing yet.
I knew I should have went to Russia instead.
